Policy.

A clear account of the information involved when you visit, join the list, create a design or order from the studio. Effective 17 September 2026.

01 / Who we are

ARCA INK Studio (“we,” “us”) operates arca.ink. For questions about this policy or your personal information, email vera.ekstrom@arca.ink.

This policy covers the storefront and its interactive experiences. A third-party service you choose to use may have its own privacy notice.

02 / Information we handle

  • Information you give us: your email and signup date when you join the studio mailing list; your email when you contact us; and information you provide in an order or inquiry.
  • Orders: Stripe collects payment and checkout details. We receive order details needed to fulfill a purchase, such as your email, purchased items, amount and delivery information. We do not receive your full card number through our site.
  • Interactive selections: if you choose an interactive Carré design for checkout, we may store its design state and image so we can prepare and fulfill that item. Your recent unselected moments remain in your current browser session.
  • Site and device information: our hosting and analytics providers may process request, device, browser and usage information, including approximate location and online identifiers.

Accounts are not currently required or offered on this storefront. If we add account creation or connect new third-party account tools, we will explain the additional data and providers before that feature launches.

03 / Why we use it

We use information to provide the site and interactive experiences, respond to you, process payments and orders, arrange delivery, send order-related messages, maintain security, and meet record-keeping obligations. We send occasional studio letters when you request them; you can ask to leave the list at any time.

We also use aggregated site measurements to understand and improve the website. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, these activities rely on your request or an order with us, our legitimate operational interests, legal obligations, or your consent where required. We do not treat signing up for an account or buying an item as consent to studio marketing.

04 / Cookies and browser storage

The site uses browser local storage to remember your bag (for up to 30 days) and collection filter on this device. Clearing site data in your browser removes these saved preferences. An interactive session may also keep recent design moments in memory while the page is open.

On the public storefront, we use Google Analytics to measure visits and interactions. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies, such as _ga, to distinguish visits and process browser, device and approximate location information. You can manage or clear cookies in your browser and use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on where available. Blocking analytics cookies does not prevent you from browsing or ordering.

We load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser may contact Google to retrieve those files. Our hosting provider also handles technical request information needed to deliver and secure the site.

05 / Who receives information

We share information only as needed for these purposes, including with AWS for hosting, newsletter subscriptions and order records; Stripe for payment processing; delivery partners to ship orders; and Google for Analytics and Fonts. These providers may process information in other countries under their own applicable safeguards and notices.

Before this change, newsletter signup emails were forwarded to the studio through Telegram. New signups are no longer sent there once the updated service is deployed; older messages may remain until they are removed from that account.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable requirements. We do not provide your newsletter email to a delivery partner unless it is also needed for an order.

06 / Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including fulfillment, customer support, legal records and dispute resolution. We keep newsletter signup details until you ask to leave the list or the list ends. A saved bag expires after 30 days in your browser; other browser preferences remain until you clear them. Order records and messages may need to be kept longer. Where possible, we remove or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.

We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Access to third-party services and information they hold is also governed by their practices.

07 / Your choices and rights

You can request to leave the studio mailing list, ask about information we hold, or request access, correction or deletion by emailing vera.ekstrom@arca.ink. We may need to verify your request and retain certain records where required by law. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, receive a copy of certain data, or complain to a relevant data-protection authority.

Browser controls let you manage cookies and clear locally stored bag and filter data. If a future account feature is launched, we will describe its controls here. The site is not intended for children to make purchases on their own; please contact us if you believe a child has provided us personal information.

08 / Updates and contact

We may update this policy as our services or data practices change. We will revise the effective date above and give additional notice when appropriate. For privacy requests or questions, contact vera.ekstrom@arca.ink.
